Testimonials

‘ Thank you for the care – I felt very reassured that I was in good hands’

‘You have a really good way of explaining things as you go along. It’s very reassuring and it’s quite a skill’

‘I came across your letter again about my mother whom you kindly saw last year. I realise I never wrote to thank you personally for your exceptional skill and kindness in consulting with my mother, and alongside her my father and me as her advocates, with all the difficulties involved as a result of her lack of capacity’

‘It was a pleasure meeting you, Mrs Badvie. Thank you for your thorough, reassuring and good-humoured consultation’

‘I want to feedback on how easy it was to use your online virtual office. It was excellent – so easy to make an appointment’

‘I can’t tell you how immensely relieved I am to get some closure on my problems now that you’ve found the cause. I’m so glad I picked you out of all the profiles I saw. You came highly recommended’

Consultations

When you arrange your appointment to see Mrs Badvie, she will see you in the outpatient clinic in the first instance. Please see our FAQ page for guidance on this process.

It is recommended that you obtain a referral letter from your GP, as your GP will check your symptoms to ensure they fall within the field of general surgery, colorectal surgery and endoscopy which Mrs Badvie specialises in.

Please bring a copy of your referral letter to your appointment, along with the results of any tests you have had for your symptoms so far. A list of your medications and any drug allergies would be useful.

Mrs Badvie will discuss your symptoms and concerns with you, and perform an examination. A chaperone may be present. A female only team may be arranged on request.

You may require some diagnostic tests before any treatment. Mrs Badvie will tailor these to your clinical needs and she will discuss individual tests and treatments with you.
